Top News & Magazines Apps on Android in Chile: Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top five news and magazine apps on the Android platform in Chile showed varied performance trends, according to Sensor Tower data.

X (Formerly Twitter) from X Corp. saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $5.1K in early December. Weekly downloads experienced a decrease early in the quarter but picked up towards the end, reaching 11.2K in the week of December 23. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users fluctuating around 1.6M to 1.7M.

Noticias Locales showed a spike in downloads in early October with 3.5K but saw a reduction towards the end of the quarter. The app had a modest number of weekly active users at around 36.2K by the end of December.

Noticias Telemundo experienced a significant jump in downloads during mid-November, reaching 9.4K. Active users also increased in November, peaking at 5.8K before stabilizing around 2.2K by the end of the quarter.

Chile News had a gradual increase in downloads, with a peak of 3.8K in mid-November. Despite the downloads, there was no significant revenue or active user data available for this app.

Lastly, Fox News International had consistent downloads at the start of the quarter, peaking at 4K, but saw a sharp decline thereafter. Active users dropped steadily from 2.7K in September to 469 by the end of December.
